Welcome!
My name is April Hartling and I'm a certified teacher in the state of Florida. In addition to my K-6 educator license, I also hold a reading endorsement for grades K-12. With 18 years of dedicated experience in education, I’ve had the privilege of teaching 11 years in Massachusetts and 7 years in Florida. Throughout my career, I’ve been committed to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environment where every student has the opportunity to thrive and reach their full potential.
In addition to my work in the classroom as a teacher, I am also a certified yoga instructor with experience teaching children yoga and mindfulness, further enhancing my approach to fostering well-rounded, resilient learners.
I am versatile in my approach to teaching. My goal has always been to create a space that nurtures growth, builds confidence, and cultivates mutual respect—values that guide both my classroom practices and personal philosophy.
In 2024, I was honored to receive the Oviedo Woman’s Club PEAK Teacher of the Year Award, which recognizes educators who embody the principles of being Professional, Ethical, Accomplished, and Kind.
